Proof Drinks is a collective of innovative, forward thinkers specialising in the distribution, sales and marketing of premium drinks brands since 2008.  Proof is adding some exciting new premium brands to their portfolio in 2017 and are looking to employ 2 x BDMs to focus on sales and distribution in bars and clubs in London and the South East respectively.

Business Development Manager – South East (Independent Free Trade)

Overview:

Job Title: Premium Sector Manager – South East / Business Development Manager – South East

Reporting To: Operations Director

Location: Home/Field based

Remuneration & Benefits: Competitive salary, bonus structure and travel allowance

This role encompasses the day-to-day management of the Proof Drinks brand portfolio within the On-Trade Independent Free Trade Sector.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new listings and retaining existing business in Sussex, Kent & Essex.

Working from home, both roles will demand extensive travel throughout the managed territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching and sourcing key new accounts to stock the Proof portfolio of brands
  • Manage existing accounts, optimising opportunities and delivering an exceptional service
  • Ensure future business through constant and complete prospecting within the sales area
  • Work with strategic wholesalers/sales teams to drive incremental sales
  • Optimise product visibility on the shelves and support with POS material
  • Organise and facilitate staff training on all premium Proof brands within key strategic On Trade venues
  • Recording all activity to company sales reporting system – Salesforce
  • Support the wider Proof team

Requirements:

  • Good understanding and experience of and contacts within London’s premium bars and clubs
  • Team player with good negotiation skills and well organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong personality with commercial acumen
  • Flexible and pro-active
  • Results driven, customer focused with strong interpersonal skills and proven selling ability
  • Competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar sales reporting system desirable but not essential
  • Support the wider Proof team
